A little about me, Amber Drebaum!

I’ve always been curious about how people think, learn, and interact with the world around them. Before UX Academy, much of my work centered on helping people navigate complex systems, whether through education, analysis, or guiding teams. That work demanded thoughtfulness, compassion, and a keen eye for details, skills that made listening and problem-solving second nature.
Those strengths have carried directly into my design journey. I’ve leaned on my ability to be observant and organized while conducting user research and synthesizing findings. My background in communication has made interviews and storytelling feel natural, while my attention to detail has helped me design wireframes and flows that bring clarity to big, messy problems.
I was originally drawn to UX because of its human-centered approach, the chance to listen deeply and translate user needs into something tangible. I see UX as more than design, it’s strategy, curiosity, and collaboration in action. The most exciting part has been realizing how these methods connect not just to digital products, but to all the ways we design experiences for people.
Looking ahead, I want to apply these skills in creative and entrepreneurial ways. Whether I’m crafting resources, building templates, or shaping coaching experiences, I see design as a tool for clarity and compassion. My goal is to create work that feels approachable and thoughtful, helping people feel supported and seen in the spaces where they need it most.
